Level 2 Arboriculture

Arboriculture:
The study, cultivation, and management of trees, shrubs, vines, and other perennial woody plants.

Who is L2 Arboriculture for?

Level 2 Arboriculture is ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about trees or formalise their existing tree knowledge. Beginners are not only welcome, but encouraged. The L2 Certificate in Arboriculture is designed for anyone working in arboriculture, in both the public and private sectors, whether as paid staff, or voluntary support staff. The course aims to complement their training and experience, and to provide evidence of their knowledge of arboriculture.

You will learn about topics including tree biology, how to care for trees, and what to do if trees are diseased or dying. This will help if you are planning to grow trees in your garden or in an area of woodland.

You don’t need any prior knowledge or qualifications before taking the Level 2 Arboriculture course. If you are over 18 years old and live in the UK you can apply for a place on the course starting in April 2023. You also don’t need to live in Birmingham or the West Midlands, as it will online. We welcome and encourage adults from all backgrounds, cultures, and ages onto the course.

  • £900 for people with an interest in trees
  • £1,000 for existing workers in the tree industry
